The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea(MMCA) is pleased to have a final exhibition,Beyond the Horizon, from May 28th to June 14th, 2015, at MMCA Residency Changdong.

This exhibition presents works of art by nine artists who have participated in the international exchange residency programs, including International Artists Residency Program, International Artists Fellowship Program, and Mondrian Fund Fellowship Program, at MMCA Residency Changdong during the first half of 2015. This year, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and the Czech Republic, we have broadened our global network by inviting artists recommended by leading arts institutions of the country.

The exhibitionBeyond the Horizonhopes to serve as a platform where the broadened horizon of artists, who have been exposed to new cultures and experiences at MMCA Residency Changdong and the broadened horizon of audiences meet through interactions within the arts. In this exhibition, works of art which explore a variety of genres, including painting, photography, installation, and video will be presented. On the opening day, we are planning to have open studios, which is an open space where other resident artists and project teams at MMCA Residency Changdong as well as the artists of the final exhibition will share the process of their art making with audiences.
