#1. Introduction
Welcome to «Korea Artist Prize 2026» exhibition. Co-organized by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea and the SBS Foundation, the Korea Artist Prize is one of the most prestigious art awards and artist support programs in Korea. Since 2012, it has annually provided a prominent platform for exploring the most important issues being addressed by contemporary art through the creative works of four selected artists. This year’s artists are Lee Hai Min Sun, Lee Jungwoo, Jeon Hyunsun, and Hong Jin-hwon. Although they use different methods and media, these four artists share one very important perspective: they do not accept the world as a fixed or completed system. In their work, you will find things that refuse to disappear, things that cannot be fully explained, and things that are still in the process of taking shape. They peer into the cracks and tremors hidden beneath the visible, and bring back entities that have been erased or omitted.
