Shed lights on one of the prominent Danish artists Asger Jorn (Denmark, 1914‒1973), the founder of avant-garde groups like CoBrA and Situationist International, who stood in the frontier of socially engaged art movements in mid 20th century. MMCA will bring the artist in Seoul for first time in Asia in cooperation with Museum Jorn in Silkeborg, Denmark and present around 90 works including paintings, sculptures, photographs, textiles and archive materials by Asger Jorn. Especially the show will open a football ground at the MMCA Seoul box and it will allow visitors to experience ‘Three-sided Football’ game which is created by Asger Jorn during the Cold War period to talk about the balance of political power.
