Overview

The MMCA offers learning programs to help the general public to discover dynamics and experimentalism the contemporary art has and artistic values in their daily lives. Aiming to become a community-oriented open museum, the learning programs are intended for people of all backgrounds ranging from minors to adults, encouraging the participants to experience their own version of the modern & contemporary art, and communicate with their neighbors through artistic activities.

Museum Learning Programs

Learning-at-museum includes children & family program, youths & educators program, adults program, professionals program, cultural access, and artwork appreciation program.

  • Children’s Museum Children’s Museum

    The Children’s Museum of the MMCA Gwacheon is a country’s flagship museum for children, organizing and offering hand-on experience programs for both children and their family members.
    In addition to that, the museum’s outdoor space is reserved for ‘play with arts’ under the theme of art, nature, and play.
    The children and family-focused ‘engagement and open museum’ enables the future generations explore hidden meanings of the modern & contemporary art, and also let them experience a colorful art education.

    Children’s program is to develop the future generations, and include creative activities to be taken place at everywhere in the museum. Programs are intended not only for children but also whole family members, extending the boundary of their museum experience.
