The change in film and video technology that aims to reproduce reality and the image of dreams as realistically as possible had an impact on the internal physical structure of film as well. MMCA Film & Video came up with “The History of Visual Magic in Technology” to explore the historical and aesthetic transformations in cinematography that came along with the development of these technologies.
Its first program focuses on the expansion of the visual dimension and its variations from technological developments that create the virtual reality world, so we present three Canadian VR films with the Canadian Film Center. The Canadian Film Center Media Lab (CFC MEDIA LAB) has given intensive support to the development of VR film technology and production of films.
You can experience Canadian VR films that are evolving by taking and combining the format of films in different genres such as documentaries, Sci-Fi and animation.
