Temporary Closure Notice for the Seoul Branch of MMCA
■ Temporary Closure Dates : First Tuesday of June, September, and December (6/2, 9/1, 12/1)
The Seoul branch of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea has previously operated under a “museum without regular closures” policy, closing only three days per year (New Year’s Day, Lunar New Year’s Day, and Chuseok Day).
However, in response to the recent increase in visitor numbers and the need to strengthen artwork and facility safety inspections, temporary closure dates will be introduced on a trial basis in 2026.
We kindly ask for your understanding as this measure is intended to ensure a safer and more comfortable museum environment.
※ The Art Shuttle Bus will not operate on days when either one or both of the Seoul and Gwacheon branches are closed.
