Assistance for the Visually Impaired
- Guide dog accompaniment
- The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) welcomes guide dogs.
- Braille and Audio Guide Signs
- Braille information boards are located on the left side of the museum entrance (2nd floor).
- The sign has a protruding current location button and provides Braille instructions on where the facility is located.
- Tactile Guidance Blocks
- There are tactile paving blocks at all entrances, stairs, elevators, and restrooms in the museum.
- Elevator for people with limited mobility
- There is no elevator inside the museum.
- You can enter the Deoksugung exhibition hall by taking the elevator for the disabled located behind the Seokjojeon to the 2nd floor and passing through the Deoksugung connecting passage. ※ Please call 02-2022-0640 in front of the connecting passageway for assistance.
- Stairs
- There are 23 steps from the front of the art museum to the entrance.
- Upon entering the museum, there are 26 steep stairs on either side of the entrance leading to the third floor.
- Please be careful when using the stairs.
- Railing
- The third floor of the art museum is an open structure with railings on all four sides of the corridor.
- Please be especially careful not to lean on the railing.
- Disabled toilet
- The restroom is located inside, past Exhibition halls 2 and 4.
- Please seek guidance from the exhibition hall staff as the interior may be dark.
- A disabled restroom is located on the first floor of the museum's office. It features an automatic door, handrails, and an assistance bell to assist with movement inside.
