Residency provides
artist-in-residence programs run by the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea
in order to encourage and support artistic creativity and
to make Korean contemporary art known to the world.

Residency has developed into an international studio by selecting and inviting creative artists over the world.

It provides opportunities to capable foreign artists based on the international network as a member of Res Artis and the AAC(Alliance of Artists Communities). Residency constitutes various residency programs according to partner organizations, particular regions, certain time periods, support, and screening (contest and public recommendation).

Overseas artists apply for residency programs by taking advantage of each characteristic, and selected artists participate in support programs and interact with artists from around the world, including Korea, for 3-6 months. Moreover, Residency provides opportunities to stay abroad for Korean artists who selected as residency artists through the cooperation with partner-institutions.
