MoreNational Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) Exhibition Commentary for Everyone
The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) operates various exhibition tour programs to enrich visitors' museum experience.
These include scheduled tours offered at designated times for each exhibition,
on-demand tours available weekdays at 11:00 AM for institutions and groups,
and accessibility tours for visitors with visual, hearing, or learning disabilities.
Scheduled tours
- Scheduled tours operate at designated times for each exhibition.

- Tour services for a specific exhibition end when that exhibition closes.
- The schedule is subject to change based on museum operational circumstances.
- Tour services are not available during the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays.
On-demand tours
- On-demand tours are available only on weekdays at 11:00 AM.
- They are not available on weekends or public holidays.
- This service is for institutions and organizations with groups of 20 to 40 adults.
- Please apply at least 7 days prior to your planned visit date.
- Reservations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Separate group viewing reservations are required, distinct from guided tour bookings. For group viewing inquiries, please call 02-3701-9699.
Accessibility tours
- The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) operates Accessibility Tours so that anyone can visit the museum and enjoy the artworks anytime, anywhere.
- The Visual Information Exhibition Commentary is a program for individuals with low vision or visual impairments, providing audio descriptions of the exhibition and artworks. It can be accessed via QR codes in the exhibition halls or the museum guide app's Visual Support Mode. Alternatively, visitors may opt for on-site guidance from a docent.
- Sign language interpretation is a program for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. Sign language interpretation videos can be viewed not only via QR codes in the exhibition space but also through various channels such as the museum website, YouTube, and Instagram. If desired, sign language interpretation for docent tours is provided on-site, even for a single visitor.
- Easy exhibition explanations are a program for slow learners and individuals with developmental disabilities. Easy exhibition guide booklets are available at the educational materials stand on the 1st floor. Docents can also provide explanations in easy-to-understand language within the exhibition halls.
