Assistance for the Visually Impaired
- Guide dog accompaniment
- The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) welcomes guide dogs.
- Braille and Audio Guide Signs
- Braille and audio guide signs are located to the right of the museum's main entrance, at the entrance to the TERAROSA Cafe on the 1st floor, and at the entrance to the Education Building on the 1st floor.
- These signs provide guidance on museum facility locations via braille and audio. The guide signs feature a raised “Current Location” button, and an audio button is located at the bottom right.
- Tactile Guidance Blocks
- Guidance blocks (Braille) are installed at all entrances and exits, staircases, elevators, escalators, and restroom entrances in the museum.
- Elevator for people with limited mobility
- Use the elevator on the 1st floor of the exhibition hall to access the exhibition hall on B1 and the parking lot on B2.
- Visitors heading to the exhibition hall on B1 should use the elevator on the right behind the TERAROSA Cafe on the 1st floor.
- Visitors heading to the parking lot on B2 and B3 should use the elevator on the left behind the TERAROSA Cafe on the 1st floor.
- Visitors heading to the B2 parking lot should use the elevator in front of the Art Shop on the 1st floor.
- Visitors moving from the Exhibition Building to the Education Building should use the purple elevator next to Exhibition Room 5 on the B1 level. This elevator provides access to the Library and Digital Archive.
- Ramps
- Facing the museum's main entrance, there is a gentle ramp to the right
- Inside the museum, behind the cafe, there is a ramp leading toward the education building.
- Outside the museum, next to the DOORE restaurant, there is a ramp leading toward the education building.
- All ramps are equipped with tactile handrails for the visually impaired running along their length.
- Stairs
- There are four steps, each 1 meter wide, leading from the museum's main entrance to the entrance door. Please exercise caution for your safety when using the stairs.
- Accessible restroom
- Accessible restrooms are equipped with automatic doors, grab bars inside to assist with movement, and an assistance call button.
